澳洲留学Reference如何做才符合要求？又到了各种Final，抓头头秃的论文季，近期辅导学术论文学生的数量也随之激增，然而令我感到吃惊的是大多数的学生对学术论文的格式理解的非常不透彻，除了逻辑问题外，格式问题显然超越了基本的语法问题成为学生在论文写作中的一大问题。

在学术论文中，reference的作用非同小可，甚至我们可以讲，没有reference的支持，这篇文章就无法称之为学术论文。然而在各个学校对于reference的要求也不尽相同，我们在这里总结出 在澳洲学校较为常用的referencing style做下简单的讲解，帮助学生们在final期不踩雷~

Havard

‘Harvard referencing’ is an umbrella term for any referencing style that uses the author name and year of publication within the text to indicate where you have inserted a source. This author-date system appeals to both authors and readers of academic work. Scholars find the Harvard format an economical way of writing, and it is generally more accessible to the reader as there are no footnotes crowding the page. Only the name of the author, the publication date of the source and, if necessary, the page numbers are included in the parenthetical references.

Havard referencing是所有引用样式的统称，该引用样式使用文本中的作者姓名和出版年份来指明在何处插入了源材料。学者们发现哈佛格式是一种经济的书写方式，并且由于没有脚注使页面拥挤，因此读者通常更容易使用这种格式。括号中仅包括作者姓名，来源出版日期以及页码

给出大家几个例子来加深理解：

1、如果要将引文，声明，统计信息或任何其他类型的源信息插入到论文的主体中，则应在获取信息后或句子结尾处，在方括号中提供作者的姓氏和出版日期。

Example:

There are many assumptions when it comes to the information processing approach to cognition… (Lutz and Huitt, 2004).

2、如果已经在句子中提到了作者，那么只需要在提及作者姓氏的位置后的括号中输入出版年份。

Example:

In the overview of these developmental theories, Lutz and Huitt (2004) suggest that…

3.如果引用的是源材料的特定部分（而不是整个作品），则还应在括号内的哈佛参考书中在日期之后加上页码或页码范围。

Example:

"...the development of meaning is more important than the acquisition of a large set of knowledge or skills ..." (Lutz and Huitt, 2004, p.8), which means that ...

请注意，如果来源材料中有四位或更多作者，则无需写出所有姓氏。只需使用第一作者的姓氏，然后用斜体字首字母缩写“ et al。”（意思是“和其他”）

4.如果我们正在阅读一位作者的资料，但他引用了另一位作者的作品，则可以将该原始作品作为次要参考。仍然鼓励大家查找原始资源-通常可以通过查阅作者的参考文献列表来完成-但是，如果无法访问原始文献，则只能引用你参考过的原始文献，因为实际上并未阅读原始文献。我们可以在文字参考中加入“引用”一词以表明这一点。

APA

In the APA reference list, the writer should provide the author, year, title, and source of the cited work in an alphabetical list of references. If a reference is not cited in the text, it should not be included in the reference list. The reference format varies slightly depending on the document type (e.g., journal article, edited book chapter, blog post), but broadly speaking always follows the same pattern of author, date, title, source.
